At Drive-France we use different delivery methods dependant on what you order (size, weight), how urgent it is and whether or not you live in the UK.
Large items that have to be sent in a parcel include our "All in One Kits" and things like warning triangles and spare bulb kits. Small items that can fit in an envelope are things like, headlamp converters, breathalysers, GB and motorcycle helmet stickers.
We have our “Standard” delivery option which is FREE to any UK address and these orders will be dispatched at the latest by the working day following the order being placed. So for example order Monday and we will send it out by Tuesday. The item will be sent 2nd class post if we use Royal Mail or possibly via MyHermes parcel delivery.
This means your item should arrive no later than 4-5 working days from when you place the order.
If you are organised and are planning your trip well in advance there is no need to opt for priority dispatch but if the trip is a fairly last minute decision or you just forgot or didn't realise what you were legally required to have then we do offer “Priority Dispatch” which means you benefit from two enhancements to our normal free delivery service.
Firstly you will go to the front of the queue and your order will be dealt with next on the list. This means that if you order Mon – Friday (not Bank Holidays) we will dispatch your order the same day we receive it as long as you place the order by 2.30 pm.
Any priority orders received between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm we will really try to process and send them out the same day but this may not be possible every day. It would of course be sent the following working morning.
The second enhancement with "Priority Dispatch" is that your item will be sent via “First Class” Royal mail rather than standard 2nd class which in our experience has a 93% next day delivery success rate.
Please note though that this service does NOT guarantee next day delivery. It should mean though that there is every chance that if you will receive the item(s) within 1 or 2 working days.
Our advice is though that if you are leaving for France within 48 hours of reading this you are probably better off not ordering at all and sourcing the items locally or pay the Ferry operators prices for the items you need.
We offer Free Delivery to all UK postcode addresses but for European Countries including the Republic of Ireland there is an extra cost to us therefore we need to make an additional charge to you to cover these costs and the extra work this creates for us.
For overseas delivery please email us first telling us what you want to order and where you live. We can then give you an accurate price for the additional postage costs. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
