We asked the owners Richard and Lynne to tell us a little about their lovely B&B and this is what they said.
In the heart of the Perigord Limousin Naturel Park we are lucky to have the peace and beauty of this scenic department and yet be within an easy half hour drive of so many amazing places to visit.
If you love fairytale chateau, lakes (we can provide a picnic), picture box villages, markets, museums, caves, canoeing, cycling, panning for gold, horse riding, velo-rail, route of Richard the Lionheart, photography / painting opportunities, night sky watching, bird watching you've come to the right place, alpacas are onsite - and you’re more than welcome to join me at feeding time.
After a day exploring cool down in the pool, read on one of the hardwood loungers or watch one of the stunning sunsets from the hot-tub and if you don’t feel like going out again to eat we provide evening meals using local produce with a little notice.
We provide 3 en-suite B&B rooms newly renovated and almost guaranteeing a perfect night sleep, all rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, long length mirrors, docking station, flat screen TV satellite channels in case you need a fix of Emmerdale, quality toiletries - and a separate self contained 2 bedroom gite.
We are located just off the N21 on a main route down to Spain and at around 7 hours from Calais we make a great stopover. Halfway between Limoges and Perigueux.
You’ll see fields of maize and sunflowers and the colour pop vibrancy of rapeseed and fruit orchards and forests. The roads really are a pleasure to drive and the lack of traffic and problem free parking is a massive bonus.
Our nearest airport is Limoges they have car rental facilities and we’re an easy straightforward drive taking about 35 to 40 minutes, we have secure private parking onsite.
With a warm welcome and a glass of wine on arrival, we can share our favourite places to visit if you haven’t already worked out an “ I want to…” list - we are Richard and Lynn Fletcher and we’re looking forward to meeting you
Short video showing the Alpacas playing to give you an idea of how cute they are!
