We asked the owners, Kim and Les, to tell us a little bit about the property and the area and here is a copy of our what they sent.
Kim and Les would like to welcome you to our recently renovated Breton farmhouse B & B. We have lived in France for 15 years and are both experienced long time motorcyclists with competition backgrounds as well as having toured extensively in Europe, so it seemed the natural thing to do, when starting the B & B in 2010, to cater exclusively for the motorcycling fraternity in order to exercise our passion.
The modern day motorcyclist quite rightly expects a high level of comfortable accommodation for both himself (or herself, we have a lot of lady riders) and bike. To this end, we have three well appointed rooms that have top quality mattresses and bedding to ensure a good nights sleep, toiletries, hair-dryer etc. Two of the rooms are en-suite and the third has it’s own private bathroom, all of the rooms can be configured as singles, doubles or twins.
Kim’s cooking is legendary, as can be seen by the many comments in our guest book, so the inner man or woman is guaranteed to be well catered for by her home cooked evening meals (catering for vegetarian, gluten/dairy free etc is available).
The guests also have the use of their own cosy lounge equipped with a log burner for chilly evenings, TV, WIFI (throughout the house) and a library well stocked with maps (a good supply of our suggested routes marked up on laminated maps for you to take with you for the day), magazines and loads of local information. The bikes are equally well looked after as well with a carpeted secure garage, well equipped workshop, hydraulic bike lift and a comprehensive range of tools, we can also recover your bike if necessary on our purpose built motorcycle trailer.
Brittany has some of the most beautiful countryside in France, whether it’s sleepy rural villages or stunning coastline you’re after, we can offer guided day tours to take you to some of those hidden gems which you’d never find on your own. The routes, which we have carefully researched and ridden ourselves, use a mixture of narrow country lanes and some of the wonderful traffic free Route Nationales which, after the congested roads of Britain, are so relaxing to ride on. In addition, places such as Dinan, St Malo and Mont St Michel are all within 45 minutes from us.
Distance from Ferryports,
Roscoff - 2hrs 30min
St Malo - 30min
Caen - 2hrs
Cherbourg - 1hr 30min
Calais - 6 hrs
It’s worth noting that Brittany is the only region in the whole of France that has NO motorway tolls (peage), so getting to Trebeslin from any of the above ports (except Calais) will incur no extra cost.
